Moving Out On My Own?
Me and my girlfriend have been discussing moving in together over the past several months, and we've finally made a decision. It'll be my first time moving out on my own, so I'm seeking advice. We're giving ourselves until at least December, after the holidays to make the move, which will give us both time to save up. We've already tackled the issue of where to live, and that's handled. What I do need advice on, however, is taking out life insurance, health insurance, car insurance ect. on my own for the first time. Also, for those who have moved pretty far away [I'm moving from Texas to Florida] what issues did you have to tackle when moving to another state?

Additionally, if you transferred colleges when you moved, did you have any issues with credits that wouldn't transfer or problems with seeking financial aid?
hey , Well done on making the move! its great fun finally getting outta home and out into the world. Insuranace is pretty important i made sure i had all my stuff along with my car insured. I decided against health insureance as it was another cost which took money away from buying food. Important thing is try n budget! when you out on your own money can be alot harder to come by so making sure you have a little bit saved in case anything goes wrong is important. When i first moved out i was living with a couple of mates. IT was really important to have ground rules eg paying bills, buying food and other stuff like chorese. Otherwise it all just ends up with people fighting.

Biggest thing ! have fun, its so great geting outta home and just partying ahahah
