Is auto insurance cheaper for trucks?
I have a turbocharged hatchback now, thinking about upgrading to a larger vehicle.
It all depends on the insurance company that you have, where you live, your age, and your driving experience. I upgraded to a truck, and my insurance stayed the same. The only way to truely find out is to call your insurance company. They can tell you if it will raise...and the quote they give you will be free!! Remember though....rates change all the time. If you don't like the rate they give you, call a few other places. Insurance companies rate different vehicles quite differently. Be smart! It is a good idea to shop for cheaper insurance every four months....you could save yourself hundreds of dollars a year!
